This is ME

Hi,
My name is Jess and I'm a keen 3rd year University Student at JCU.

Study
I previously studied Bachelor of Business and after wasting two years of my life studying a course I couldn't stand, I decided to finally do what I wanted to do. Not what my parents or peers thought I should do but what I had a passion for. So now I'm studying a Bachelor of the Arts majoring in Media and Writing, hoping to eventually work in Public Relations for a Mine.
So thats my student background, short and sweet considering its been the past two years of my life.

Music
I am a die hard Music fan, I will listen to just about anything except Pitbull: his inability to make decent lyrics and a word rhyme is just depressing. I listen to the radio constantly, I am a new lover of JJJ well by new I mean the past two years or so. Like a Version, as a singer I had the belief that i would never sing a Whitney Houston song. (there are just some singers that are untouchable in my eyes) JJJ converted my thinking, I love when the new Like A Version comes out. The ability the artist have to take a already deep or relatable song and turn into a song that has a new meaning, a new way of interpreting, and sometimes a slight change of lyrics.

I find it fascinating that a change in tempo, voice and few lyrics can enhance/ change a songs meaning. How one persons truth can be different for another or how one persons truth can be change by a change of tempo.

Movies and Television
I find it quite easy to put myself in someones shoes, I am a empathiser. Unfortunately for me this means I cry in just about everything i watch, have a big grin when something happy happens to the character. its embarrassing when I am with someone and I guess I will find it challenge when needed interview someone (taking the emotion out the job). favourite movie of all time: Moulin Rouge the perfect mixture of timeless songs and my favourite Director Baz Luhrmann, I love his way of making a film. I guess what I mean is when you look at someone like Quentin Tarantino you can recognise his work, alike Tarantino I can easily recognise Luhrmann's work.
Additionally, I am a huge nerd! I love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Trek. :)
Just thought I would add that last sentence in so I do not get perceived as something I not.

thats ME
