Hilary Clinton backs gay and lesbian marriage, "To deny the opportunity to any of out daughters and sons solely on the basis of who they are and they love is to deny them the chance to live up to their own God-given potential" (Hilary Clinton). The Former U.S Secretary of State reveals her opinion on Gay and Lesbian rights this past Monday. "LGBT Americans are our colleagues, our teachers, our soldiers, our friends, our loved ones. and they are full and equal citizens, and deserve the rights of citizenship. that includes marriage … That's why I support marriage of lesbian and gay couples. I support it personally and as a matter of policy and law, embedded in a broader effect to advance equality and opportunity for LGBT Americans and all Americans." Said Clinton.
This interviews occurs days after Hilary's husband Bill Clinton Former U.S president approached the courts to reverse a bill he passed in 1996 that defined marriage between man and woman discriminatory.
She goes on to explain that "like so many others, my personal views have been shaped over time, by the guiding principals of my faith."
